SPRING DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM COACHES:

Drew Miller
Drew is a native of Medicine Hat, Alberta where he played Little
League and American Legion Baseball.  He then moved on to college
baseball at Eastern Oklahoma Junior College and Oklahoma Baptist
University.  At the latter he was named Honorable Mention All-American in
both years of play there.  After college was over Drew went on to play for the
Richmond Roosters of the Frontier League for three years.  At Richmond Drew won a league championship
and was named to the All Star team.  In 2005 Drew signed with the Calgary Vipers which started his seven
year stint with the team.  In those seven years Drew helped lead the Vipers to a 2009 Golden League
Championship as well as being named to the a league All-Star five different seasons.  Drew has also had the
opportunity to play and coach in Australia's winter leagues from 2007-2009.  Miller has also coached at many
levels which include assistant coach in University, head coach of North District Reds in Australia and many all
star teams in Calgary and Medicine Hat.


Sean Roach - Pee Wee Coach
Sean is the Head Coach of the 2011 Pee Wee team and we are very
excited to have him back as coach for the development program and the
2012 team.  Sean played 12 years of Little League baseball in Calgary and
then pursued his baseball career playing for four years with the University of
Calgary Dinos under AJ Fystro.  Sean is also coaching with our Spring
Development Program and is looking forward to putting together a program
that will help boys of all ages as they improve their skills.


Brent Cooper - Bantam Coach
At 16 yrs old Brent set a single season record for HR's in season = 30,
represented Nova Scotia @ 8 National Championships, played alongside
professionals Jose Canseco, Joey Gathwright, Russell Martin, Angel Pagan,
Jeff Francis, Adam Lowen to name a few and MANY other great men who
have shaped mentored him along the way.  He's played competitive
baseball in Halifax, NS, since he could walk.  His primary positions are:  
1B/3B/C (secondary positions --> LF+P).  He's also played at:  NJCAA
Division I-Indian River State College-Fort Pierce, FL; 6 seasons NSSBL
@ Halifax Pelham Canadians; 3 years Provincial Youth Selects program
Nova Scotia;  2001 Canada Games team Nova Scotia Bronze medal;
4yrs Calgary Redbirds-Sunburst League; CBL-Trois Rivere Saints;
2011 Yuma Scorpions NABL and Calgary Diamondbacks FMBL (current)

His coaching career is as follows:
3 years coaching in All-Star Baseball clinics - Halifax, NS
4 years coaching in the PBF Redbirds Summer & Winter programs
--NCCP certified & Respect Group Inc program completed.

Bantam and Midget – registration date Monday, February 27
Registration Fee:                Bantam - $500                Midget - $625

Pee Wee – registration date – Monday, March 26
Registration Fee:                Pee Wee - $325

                              Payment can be made in person at the above-noted training dates.  
                                              Evaluation dates to be determined as required.
Bantam and Midget Players Needed
Baseball Calgary is looking for Bantam and Midget players who want to play baseball at the
competitive and performance levels.  40+ game schedule, lots of practices, travel throughout Alberta
for league play, and tournaments as selected by the teams.  For more information, please contact our
