Brad Doss - 15U AAA Assistant Coach
Born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri, Brad Doss brings decades of experience, passion, and leadership to the Calgary Cubs 15U AAA program. His coaching journey has taken him across the world, shaping a philosophy centered on giving young athletes the foundation they need to pursue opportunities in baseball and to become strong contributors to their teams and communities.
Brad’s career began at Dakota State University, where he served as Head Coach from 1996 to 1999. His success at the collegiate level led him into professional scouting, joining the Montreal Expos from 1999 to 2001. That role opened the door to international baseball, and from 2001 to 2004 Brad worked with Major League Baseball International as an envoy coach. During those years, he coached in France, Great Britain, China, and South Africa, and represented MLB at major global events including the World University Games in Messina, Italy, and the World Baseball Championship in Taiwan.
After returning to North America, Brad spent five seasons with the Calgary Vipers of the Northern League, serving as both Hitting Coach and Bench Coach from 2005 to 2010. His leadership and player-development focus contributed to some of the most competitive seasons in the organization’s history.
Brad continued to shape young athletes through his work with the Calgary Redbirds from 2017 to 2019 before joining the Calgary Cubs organization in 2020. He has since become an integral part of the Cubs’ high-performance pathway, bringing global experience, calm leadership, and a development-first approach to every practice and game.
Through every stop in his coaching career, Brad has remained committed to the same mission: helping players grow, compete, and prepare for the opportunities ahead — both on and off the field.
